Six state attorneys general warned the National Football League on Wednesday to respond “quickly” to continued allegations of a “work environment culture that is manifestly antagonistic to women,” or face examinations and possible legal actions.
According to insiders, the alliance expressed “grave concerns” in a letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell regarding accounts of how female representatives of the league are treated. In their letter, New York Attorney General Letitia James and her colleagues from Illinois, Minnesota, Massachusetts, Oregon, and Washington stated, “Our working environments will use the full weight of our ability to investigate and prosecute cases of goading, isolation, or retaliation by chiefs throughout our states, including at the National Football League.”
Among other things, the female former employees informed The New York Times about being forced to repeatedly view a 2014 video of ex-NFL player Ray Rice striking and killing his fiancee; according to the letter, the casualty “had embraced the savagery on herself,” with “discussion by associates that the casualty had embraced the brutality on herself.”
The note to Goodell stated, “Push out for whining about separation.” “We watched with nauseating terror when video of [former NFL player] Ray Rice zealously seeking his life accomplice was uncovered in 2014,” the letter stated. ′′As a result of that upsetting incident, as well as a slew of others, the NFL committed to change, take a genuine stand against gender violence, and expand opportunities for women within the organization.

“We plan to provide the lawyers general with the arrangements, rehearsals, conventions, education programs, and organizations we’ve completed in order to follow up on this responsibility and confirm that the association office is competent to the task and our clubs keep a conscious work environment where every one of our representatives, including ladies, have a valuable chance to flourish,” the organization added.
