On Friday, PM Narendra Modi will visit the Kedarnath in Uttarakhand. The reason behind this is to inaugurate the rebuilt Samadhi sthal of Shri Adi Shankaracharya. Along with this, PM Narendra Modi will unveil a 12-feet statue of Guru Shankaracharya. Guru Shankaracharya attained Moksha at Kedarnath.
The statue of Guru Shankaracharya weighs 35 tonnes. In the year 2013, the original statue got washed away due to floods.
The unveiling of statue will be displayed live across the country.
Bagish Ling, a priest of Kedarnath temple told news agency ANI that they will all welcome PM Narendra Modi. PM Modi will do the Maha Rudra Abhishek and pray for the well-being of entire nation.
PM will lay the foundation stone of Kedarpuri reconstruction projects worthy of ₹400 crore. This will be followed by unveiling of statue.
It is known that Kedarpuri construction project is one of the dreams of PM Modi. PM has been personally reviewing the construction at uniform time intervals.
The travel industry secretary Dilip Jawalkar has likewise said thanks to the Prime Minister for his liberal endeavors towards reconstructing the samadhi of Shankaracharya. “The samadhi of Shankaracharya was obliterated in the 2013 glimmer flood that hit the Kedarnath region. I might want to say thanks to PM Narendra Modi and Jindal Steel Works for their liberal endeavors towards revamping the landmark,” Jawalkar said.
It is the thing of an honour that PM Modi’s vision brought us here today. The dream seen by PM would be accomplished today.
