More than 100 specialists in three distinct clinics of Kolkata have tried positive for COVID-19 as of now, a senior wellbeing official said on Monday.
Somewhere around 70 specialists of Calcutta National Medical College and Hospital, 24 clinical professionals of Chittaranjan Seva Sadan and Shishu Sadan Hospital in Kalighat, and 12 of the Regional Institute of Ophthalmology have tried positive for the contamination, the authority told PTI.
‘The specialists have been approached to go for institutional quarantine,’ he said.
Contact following has started, and the course of clinical assessment of everybody in the three emergency clinics has begun, the authority said.
West Bengal had on Sunday revealed 6,153 COVID-19 cases, with the eastern city representing 3,194 diseases. The state’s Covid count remained at 16,49,150, of which 17,038 are dynamic cases.
