Mick Jagger and Dave Grohl’s New Anthem: “Eazy Sleazy”!!

Mick Jagger & Dave Grohl have drawn up for a hard-rock outbreak anthem named “Eazy Sleazy.”

“It is a song that I wrote about coming out of lockdown, with some much-needed idealism,” Mick announced in a statement Tuesday. “Thanks to Dave for bouncing on drums, bass, and guitar. ”

It has been over a year since Gal Gadot blasted us with her star-studded and intensely cringe cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine.” You could think that the reaction to that video would have made stars think twice about making more corny coronavirus pandemic-related music, but Mick and Grohl collaborated on a song, Eazy Sleazy, about how tough it is been to sit through quarantine and never mind that they are super-rich chaps who contrived to stay healthy throughout the whole thing.

“It is quite hard to put into words what it meant recording this song with Sir Mick to me,” adds Dave. “It is ahead a dream come true. Just when I thought life could not get any crazier…and it is the song of the summer, no doubt!!” [Like the song’s rhythm segment, the punctuation is all Dave.—Ed.]

We can say that the lyrics are tongue-in-cheek, but these are sadly true words Mick is singing about the corona outbreak:

  • Cancel all the tours/Football’s fake applause
  • No more travel brochures/Virtual premieres, I have got nothing left to wear
  • Looking out from these prison walls/You got to rob Peter if you are paying Paul
  • That’s a pretty mask/But never take a chance/TikTok stupid dance/Took a samba class
  • I landed on my ass/Trying to write a tune/You better hook me up to Zoom
  • Way too much TV/ It’s lobotomizing me
  • We will escape from these prison walls/Open the windows and open the doors
  • Shooting the vaccine/ Bill Gates is in my bloodstream/Its mind control/The Earth is flat and cold.
