Get to know about the hot start of Matt Andriese in 2017

Matthew Lee Andriese is an American professional baseball pitcher. He is a free agent.

Andriese began his career in the year 2010. His career started when he began playing baseball in his school time in Redlands East Valley High School. He used to play with Tyler Chatwood. In the 2008 MLB draft, he got selected by the Texas Rangers in the 37th round. Although, he did not sign with Texas.

He got admission into the University of California, Riverside in order to play college baseball for the UC Riverside Highlanders baseball team.

His baseball journey is really inspiring and filled with motivation till now.

However, the starting of the year 2017 proved to be really fruitful for him. At the beginning of the 2017 season, Andriese was considered as the fifth pitcher in the Rays rotation. He began with the season going 5-1 with a 3.54 ERA in 12 starts. Everything was going in a great manner till he ended up having a hip injury.

Matt was diagnosed with a stress reaction and a hip injury.

Reports provided by Topkins said that the injury will keep him sidelined until the month of August. They also said that few weeks are required for Matt to rest and take good care of him. Also, they told that Andriese’s injury will not need any kind of surgery.

From taking an excellent start, being the fifth pitcher in the Rays rotation, to having such an injury and staying away from playing, was a shocking news for Matt’s fans.
